NipNaps 'Catnip Coarse' is a special blend of the best seed strains from the Northwest Pacific region in the United States and Canada. The catnip was harvested at the peak of the season and carefully processed fresh to ensure proper drying for ultimate potency.

What is catnip?

Catnip is a perennial herb from the mint family. It originated in North Africa and the Mediterranean, but now generally grows throughout Europe and North America. Nicknames of the plant, catnip or catmint, are no doubt inspired by the fact that cats rather like these plants.

Why give catnip to my cat?

Because your cat will enjoy catnip, this is a great treat that can be used during training, or to encourage your cat to use a scratching post or sleep in its own bed. It is also a good way to encourage your cat to exercise, it may even help your cat to relax. Whatever the reason, it's fun!

Is it OK for my cat to eat catnip?

NipNaps catnip is all natural and organic, and is completely safe to take. In fact, in nature wild cats sometimes eat a little catnip as it helps with digestion.

Is too much catnip harmful to my cat?

Technically, no. Most cats seem to sense when they have had enough. As with all things in life, too much of anything can be bad. In very rare cases, some cats may cough and regurgitate a hairball if they come into contact with too much catnip. If your cat has never had catnip before, we recommend introducing it slowly in small proportions. If you are not sure, you can always contact your vet.

How long can I store catnip?

Thanks to the airtight glass jars, the NipNaps herbs keep their scent much longer. If the jars are stored in a cool place (yes, even in the refrigerator), NipNaps catnip can even last longer than 12 months.
