Initially purchased for our 2 year old cat to give to her after playing. Unfortunately she didn't do much with it. Our new kitten absolutely loves it and plays really hard with it. So 5 stars because it is a very nice toy and I think it differs per cat how he reacts to it. I think the older cat is more into the matatabi, she does very well with that.
