We have not tried the spring yet, but the rod itself is very handy. My cats have very different hunting techniques, the 4 year old hides and then comes running and you can hardly get the prey loose, while our 10 month old kitten keeps running like crazy and grabs the prey jumping in the air. So far, the rod has coped well with all this, so I am very happy with it! The only downside is that our kitten likes to bite the wire, probably because it is black, as he would not do this so easily with a transparent wire. However, a textile wire is much safer than a transparent plastic one, so we take that for granted. The rod is very sturdy and safe because of the plastic around the clip, so my cats cannot get a piece of metal in their mouths!
My 4 year old cat is a master at holding on to his prey, so as soon as he gets hold of the little sparrow I have on the fishing rod, it takes quite some effort to get it loose again. Fortunately, the rod has no problems with this, it is very flexible. I have had the rod for about two weeks now and we play with it every day for at least 10 minutes, and up until now it seems to be able to cope with this.

My cats Lizzy and Rebel are crazy about the fishing rods (they each have one). Every evening after dinner, they sit with their noses glued to the cupboard (which holds the fishing rods) as a sign that it is time for a quarter of an hour of fun. Beautiful fishing rod with top quality feathers. Our BKH was immediately hooked on this rod and even comes to ask to play with it. He also plays with it in a completely different way than with all the other rods we have. Especially their instincts are well trained with this and we have a very active BKH.

Super fine rod! Good quality and nice and long. My cats love playing with the feather! It is also great that you can easily change what is hanging on the rod! That keeps playing varied and fun!

Very nice rod, when they pull on it it bends but not for a moment do you think it will break.
The bird on it is a great success. I have never seen them jump so high! Don't think that the bird will last very long, it has a lot of trouble with it!
Warning for new buyers at TT, your cat is immediately spoiled and leaves the 'old' toys aside.... 🙂

Super good and flexible rod! I could not play with the cat because she is still afraid of us (because of a violent past on the street) but with this rod it works! Her hunting instinct comes out and she learns to trust us.

My cat plays with it a little, but gets tired of it quickly. She is a bit older (about 12 years) and therefore perhaps less playful. I think the bird should have been a bit smaller.

It is really great! The only drawback is that it is quite hard. My cat put his head up and got hit. Luckily we have several feathers and a different colour is not scary any more, but that one feather, it runs away anyway.

We got the first one as a present for Tosti when she was a kitten. All other rods she demolished within a day, the rod of yours we already have for 1.5 years! She soon understood that the toy is attached to a string, but this one is really impossible to break. Great toy! We also bought it for our new kitten, who also really likes it. It is so nice and handy that you can attach different hangers to it, just what your cat likes and it is easy to adjust for kitten or adult cat. The hangers are also very nice and are used very well!

Absolutely great! It starts with the packaging, very nicely done! Our two cats both love to play with it, and after a week and a half of intensive play it is still in one piece. Soon we will buy a second one, so they can both play at the same time. 🙂
